“Silent Currents” reflects my sense of being carried by quiet forces during times of change. The layered forms and flowing shapes mirror the shifting landscapes of my memories, where light and shadow meet. Nature is always with me on this journey—mountains, rivers, and trees feel like silent companions, holding my stories and giving me strength. In their stillness, I’m reminded to return to my own presence, to this very moment. It feels as if the earth itself is guiding me forward while keeping me rooted in the here and now.

“Silent Currents” is one of the paintings from my “Shadow Migration” series. This series reflects my search for an inner sense of home and belonging in times of change. Breaks and fragments symbolise the inner conflict between past and future, while semi-transparent layers suggest overlapping memories with the present. The contrast between cool and warm colour tones expresses the struggle between fear and hope, doubt and acceptance.

Abstract natural elements in the work are reminiscent of the connection with nature, which helps to regain inner balance and grounding. The interaction with nature becomes an anchor for me that leads me back to harmony, where I can find support and feel my belonging to something greater than myself.
